Russell and his wife Ellen came to St. Thomas and planned to stay for 2 years. That was in July of 1986!

Capt. Jan Robinson a native of New Zealand, was Captain and Chef aboard her 60 foot yacht Vanity. For nearly 20 years Jan cruised the Caribbean islands and entertained many charter yacht guests.
Dive with Russell
Since then Russell has been instructing scuba and running dive trips. His fellow dive instructors affectionately call Russell the “Dolphin Whisperer”. He won’t promise anything but he does seem to frequently find dolphins on his dives - or maybe they find him! Russell is committed to making sure his divers are safe and that they have fun, Russell is on Staff at the Red Hook Dive Center which located at the former location of Chris Sawyer Dive Center in American Yacht Harbor and the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort.
